| We are ideally located, at sea level, on award winning Porth beach, much favoured by couples and families and one of two Cornish beaches recommended by the Sunday Telegraph in its Best of Britain 2000 brochure of where to go and what to see.
Porth is located half way along the spectacular north Cornish coast and is at the hub of the county. Consequently, the hotel provides the ideal base from which to explore all of Cornwall’s breathtaking coastline, picturesque fishing villages and lush gardens. The spectacular and informative Eden Project and newly opened National Maritime Museum are both just 30 minutes by road from the hotel. |

Owned and personally run by Carl and Jane Goss with the help of their son, James, Porth Beach Hotel offers comfortable accommodation in a warm, personal and friendly atmosphere. Carl and Jane made the hotel their home and business in March 1999 and they are only the third owners since 1945, when trading as a hotel began. Prior to 1st April 2000, the hotel was known as the Lynscot Hotel.
Guests are mainly couples and families; however, any type of activity, theme holiday or company outing can be catered for by prior arrangement. All ages, composition and size of groups are welcome. Guests wanting to play golf can take advantage of discounted green fees at ten nearby courses. We take dogs by prior arrangement at certain times of the year, but owners should note that dogs are banned from the beach from Easter to October. We offer all our guests the opportunity to book their holiday with us for the following year at this year’s price. |

The restaurant/dining room seats 55 and guests can savour traditional, home cooked, fresh, local produce. Guests have a choice of using two fully licensed bars. The comfortable guest lounge, facing on to the beach, provides the venue for the seasonal entertainment programme and provides a perfect spot to admire the sea, sands and rugged headland. ‘Jimbo’s’ beach bar features a pool table and darts for those who prefer more of a pub atmosphere. There is a garden and separate sun deck, facing due south, where guests can sunbathe off the beach in more privacy. The hotel has its own, large, private car park. |

For the more energetic, the route of the South West Coastal Path crosses the beach enabling guests to enjoy exhilarating walks direct from the hotel and to relish stunning sea and coastal views. In addition, the Cornish Way, comprising a network of trails for cyclists and walkers, is within a short cycle ride of the hotel. The hotel enjoys a peaceful location. Yet the premiere resort of Newquay, with its exceptional variety of leisure, relaxation and sport facilities, is a scenic walk along the adjacent coastal path or a short ride by road. |
